Cross-border recruitment, considered.

Three habits we keep

Recruitment that respects the journey across borders.

An international hire is rarely just a CV match. Visas, time zones, mobility packages, partner relocation and tax residency all shape who actually says yes. We brief for the whole picture, not just the role.

i.

Briefed for the journey, not just the role.

We map the visa pathway, the relocation package, the tax considerations and the partner-employment situation before sourcing. The shortlist that comes back is built around candidates who actually move, not candidates who only say they would.

ii.

Vetted across jurisdictions.

Right-to-work in target country, qualifications recognised by local accreditation bodies, references taken across language and time zones, and motivations probed properly. The shortlist is what you act on, not what you start triaging.

iii.

One consultant per client.

The person who picks up your call runs the whole search across hemispheres - briefing, sourcing, vetting, offer, mobilisation, and the day-90 check-in once they have landed.

Ten service lines, one desk

Where we run permanent international searches.

If your need sits next to one of these, ask. Our network reaches across hemispheres, and we will tell you straight whether the country combination is one we can actually deliver on.

Executive

International Executive Search

Director and C-suite searches across borders. Country managers, regional MDs, international VPs of sales, finance, operations and engineering - briefed once, run patiently.

Cross-border

Cross-Border Hiring

Hiring a candidate in one country to work for an employer headquartered in another. Employer-of-record routes, contractor-to-employee conversions, dual-jurisdiction placements.

Visa

Visa-Sponsored Roles

H-1B, L-1, O-1, EB, Skilled Worker, Tier 2 ICT, Global Talent and country-specific visa categories. Mapped against the role, the timeline, and the candidate pool that holds it.

Mapping

Multi-Country Talent Mapping

Full talent maps across two or more countries before you commit to a hiring location. Salary bands, candidate density, competitor benchmarking, market temperature.

Expat

Expat Placements

Senior leaders relocating with families. Schools, partner employment, cost-of-living differentials, tax-equalisation packages and repatriation timelines all accounted for.

Remote

Remote Global Hires

Distributed and remote-first hires across time zones. Engineers, product, design, customer success, operations leaders working asynchronously across continents.

Localised

Localised Recruitment

In-country hires for international employers entering a new market. We brief locally, source locally, and vet against the cultural realities of the target geography.

Senior

Senior International Leaders

VPs and SVPs with international remits, regional presidents, multi-country function heads. The hires that need a year of patience and three months of relationship-building.

Regional

Regional Heads-of

Regional heads of sales, operations, finance, marketing and people across EMEA, APAC, LATAM and North America. Country mix understood before brief is taken.

Mobility

Global Mobility Coordinators

The internal hires you need to run an international workforce well. Mobility managers, immigration coordinators, expat tax leads, international HR business partners.

How a brief runs with us

Four steady steps. Across hemispheres.

International hires move at the pace of visas and time zones. We work to that pace - patient where it matters, fast where it can be.

i.

Discovery

One call to lock the role, the locations, the visa pathway, the salary band against the country, the offer process and the make-or-break qualities. We come prepared, not script-reading.

ii.

Search

Local network first in each country, then targeted cross-border outreach. Every approach references your business carefully and is briefed in the candidate's working language.

iii.

Shortlist

Three to five candidates, ranked against the brief with a short written note on fit, mobility readiness, visa eligibility and notice. Right-to-work confirmed before introduction.

iv.

Mobilise

We coordinate the offer, the visa application, the relocation timeline, the start date and any pre-employment checks, and check in at week 2, 6 and 12 post-arrival.

Where The Global Recruitment Co fits

International recruitment has plenty of agencies. Most of them work on a single-country basis with a referral partner abroad, which means the second country is run at arm's length. We do not. Cross-border searches are run by one consultant who owns both ends - the briefing employer in one country, and the candidate market in the other.

We staff permanent international roles across SaaS scaleups expanding into new geographies, established multinationals making senior in-country hires, professional services firms placing partners abroad, and specialist employers needing visa-sponsored hires for hard-to-fill domestic roles.

The clients who get the most from us

Founders and CHROs at companies entering a new market for the first time, regional MDs hiring their next layer, and global-mobility leads who need a recruitment partner who actually understands the visa stack. If you would rather one consultant who knows your business than three different agencies in three different countries, we will fit.

Searches we deliberately do not run

Pure single-country domestic recruitment is generally better served by a national specialist. Healthcare clinical, legal partner search, and bulk-volume hiring all sit best with sector-specific firms. We will tell you within one call if your brief is not a good fit so you can place it where it lands fastest.
